QLS / QUICK START

Get the room ready.

  1. Connect both laptops to the same network. Guest Wi-Fi may block devices from talking. A trusted shared router or hotspot can help; verify it allows local traffic.
  2. Open a receiver room on the HDMI laptop. Move its browser window to the projected display if you use an extended desktop.
  3. Join from the presenting laptop. Enter your name and the receiver code. Compare pairing codes before approval.
  4. Choose your screen after approval. On macOS, allow screen recording in System Settings. On Linux, capture depends on browser and desktop portal support.
  5. Go full-screen on the receiver. Use the expand button. Press Escape to exit. Use the eye button to blank the display instantly.

Screen media is encrypted and uses private/local host candidates only. Room setup and controls use the internet. No public media relay is configured. Approved viewers can record what they see.

Use current desktop Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. Safari support and shared audio vary. Performance, native resolution, and 60 fps depend on both devices, browser, network, and projector. There is no installation and no remote desktop control.
